Thursday, 12/10 marked another great Ho Ho Show for this years lineup. The third to last to be exact, and it included two bands that have almost became “house bands” for the STL. The Neighbourhood and Atlas Genius have been through town many times over the last two years. This was also the 3rd time I’ve photographed each act. Below are some highlights from the evening:
- This was the first time that I was able to photograph The Neighbourhood without signing an agreement that required me to only release black and white images of the band. I feel they were represented in color very nicely and their vocalist, Jesse James Rutherford, has an extreme about of ink, which I think popped out a lot more in the color images I captured.
- Atlas Genius unfortunately had to cut their set short due to an illness in the band. This lead to a stripped down performance with vocalist Keith Jeffery playing an acoustic guitar for the whole set. It was so badass to hear them open with “If So” and hear it performed acoustic.
It was another great lineup of Ho Ho Shows and I hope you got to catch at least one of them this year. Thanks 1057 The Point for bringing the gift of music to town every holiday season!
