Last week I photographed ska/punk legends Voodoo Glow Skulls for Pagan Productions. Leading up to this show I had a grade school/high school buddy contact me to let me know he was moving out of the area, with Voodoo Glow Skulls being one of his favorite acts I knew we had to make it to the show! I am so glad we did because the feeling in the room was filled with nostalgia as many groups of friends seemed to be joining together to see the Glow Skulls.
As they took stage the lead vocalist came out with a Mexican style wrestling mask that got the crowd going! From the first note the crowd was on their feet, reliving the days of their youth, which included the resurgence of the “circle pit”. Everyone was smiling, drinking, and moving about the room grooving to the sounds of the horn section which cut through the venue like bells ringing to let you know that church was in session. It was a great night all around and I hope yo enjoy the pics!
