E.D.M. shows are something I’m beginning to really look forward to. I’m not a big fan of the music, and the crowd in attendance makes me feel old. That being said, from a photography stand point there is so much to photograph at one of these shows. People watching is amazing and the fans of this genre really get into it. The stage setups generally include a projection screen of some sort with some kind of back lighting display, the lighting is that of a laser light show, sometimes their is confetti or balloons blown into the crowd, there is always a smoke machine, and the crowd always wants to be photographed. It is a unique experience, different than covering a normal rock show. It’s more like an event, actually it’s much like the rave scene of the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

I can’t say much about Flume as an artist but I can say that I had one hell of a time photographing this show!
