Local Natives is one of those acts that are kind of a big deal in the indie rock scene at the moment. Releasing their first record in 2009, a second release in 2013, and their 3rd release which came out in September of 2016 have helped them steadily gain a strong following. Front-man Taylor Rice took the stage this past Wednesday with a bolt of energy that kept him grooving to the music any time he was not singing at the mic. In which it was so great to see a band that obviously puts their “all” into performing their songs, and the entire group gave such passionate performances for the audience to enjoy. Keyboardists and percussionist Kelcey Ayer traded off lead vocals with Taylor throughout the night as well, and together their harmonies made for such a full sound. They were a great band to see live and I am happy I was able to cover this show.
